The idea for the Mavo hotel bedrooms is that each room will be different, therefore reflecting upon a different person's feelings and personality. As each guest is able to view a photograph of each bedroom upon booking online, having 3 choices of bedroom, they are able to choose the bedroom they want to stay in.

However, I want the bedroom designs to still fulfil the largest identified needs of the consumer, which have been taken from "Business Guests' accommodation selection: the view from both sides" (Lokyer, N.D).

(Lewis, 1987)

  • The standard of housekeeping and cleanliness
Knutson (1988)
  • Clean and comfortable room
  • Convenient location
  • Available services
  • Safety
  • Friendly employees
Researchers have also identified the factors most important to business travellers. These are:

  • Room cleanliness (Taninecz, 1990)
Weaver and Oh (1993)
  • Clean and comfortable surroundings
  • Convenience to business
  • A good reputation
  • Friendly staff
  • Safety and security
In keeping in line with these theories whilst selecting a hotel room which would be suitable, I would most like my hotel rooms to be like The Fitzwilliam, Kimamaya Hotel, The hotel image above Kimamaya and Ma Du Zi, Bangkok.
