Mavo PR Strategy

To briefly generalise the role of a PR strategy, as defined by Lea Greenwood (2012) is the "planned and sustained effort to establish and maintain goodwill and understanding between an organisation and it's publics".

Therefore, the PR strategy which has been curated for the Mavo Hotel Group will be clear and precise, but also will highlight the key unique qualities that are on offer.

Miller (1984) as cited within Catennacio (2008) states that the purpose of the press release is to ultimately convey to the press and, through the press, to the general public, newsworthy, positively connoted corporate/institutional information in a (fairly) standardised textual form.

How exclusivity just became fashion-abled.
Picture yourself relaxing. Carefree – for once, and not having to worry about those miniscule details which have the ability to stress you out more than the idea of having to dress George Clooney for an editorial shoot. As impossible as it sounds, Mavo hotels are here to make life easier. Mavo are a series of small boutique hotels firstly launching in London, but later to be opening in key fashion cities and fashion hotspots around the world from summer 2013 – and are specifically catered towards the busy and demanding working life-styles of fashion industry professionals. Whether you are taking a business trip, need to find a location for a celebrity you are hosting or, have been so worked-out that you need a break – we are here to help and give you a deserved breather, because we understand that booking a taxi or flight may be the last thing on your to-do list.

The Mavo hotel group have in-house teams which specialise in many areas, enabling the defined details of ones stay - major factors which need tweaking or arranging to happen. As well as a dedicated team who work solely to provide a must-return service, they also help you arrange major, last minute events. As well as this, Mavo offer customers the chance to choose the exact room they stay in, the bed linen they sleep in and the slippers they walk in. This is the revolutionised way of booking your stay with a hotel chain and will be sure to influence new hotel trends in the coming future. Bookings and further information can be found online at www.mavohotelsinternational.com

So far, 200 industry professionals have signed up for discounted pre-membership to the Mavo hotels, with many more still under assessment. The hotel's introduction has also seen interest from numerous celebrity Personal Representatives who are hoping to become linked to the Mavo group.

The woman behind the brand is passionate Rosie Parish who has worked in the industry for over 10 years. She states that she "wanted to respond to emerging consumer trends of craving instant gratification through having access to anything needed (nowism) in a mass-consumerist society of city-sumers who search for novel one-off experiences - such as the experiences which will be created for customers once in the Mavo environment. This, of course, also combines an overall service which makes the life-cycle of fashion industry professionals' lives much easier, by providing an overall service which seems appealing and attractive to the hotel's target market".

The overall service and luxuries that are expected to be provided by Mavo upon opening in 2013 have been dubbed as a prestigious and well-planned sounding service by Condé Nast Travel. They go on to say that these services, if implemented correctly - will exceed the expectations deriving from a luxury holiday.

Pr Tweet

A Mintel report on "Social Media & Networking" (2012) states that Facebook is the most used form of social media, with Twitter in second. I feel that Twitter allows in-exclusivity to anybody and everybody, so from a professional viewpoint would not enable Mavo to target only those who can benefit of the services Mavo hope to offer.

Having said this, if Twitter was something Mavo could use, then the 140 charactered tweet would read like this:

"Beds are made, cocktails mixed and runway equipment installed. This is the launch of Mavo. Take a look: www.mavohotelsinternational.com"
